Into the light

Our ribbons pull and intertwine.
We stroll our way through the passing of time.
The cold watch us;
They want to watch us suffer.
Passing into the light,
We waste away into eternity,
Laughing at those still foetal and lifeless;
We await their strife;
Watching the young die slowly.

The knowledge we have gained is futile;
It cannot help us here.
It is not made for these dimensions,
It is far too plain.
Passing into the light,
We fly through our years,
Waiting for those who stated with us to fall behind sporadically.
Our fists are tight;
We do not forget.
